Ingredients
– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 cup of sugar
– 1 tablespoon of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of salt
– 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
– 2 large eggs
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 2 cups of chopped apples
– 1 cup of chopped walnuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
3. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir this mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined.
4. Fold in the chopped apples and walnuts if using. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
5. Bake for about 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
