Decadent Salted Brown Butter Pecan Pie Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Ingredients

– 115 g unsalted butter
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– ½ teaspoon baking soda
– ¼ teaspoon salt
– 1 cup chopped pecans
– 100 g chocolate chunks
– Sea salt for sprinkling

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it browns and smells nutty. Take off the heat and let cool slightly.
3. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir in the browned butter.
4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this to the wet mixture until combined.
5. Fold in the pecans and chocolate chunks. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared tray. Sprinkle with sea salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
