Chocolate Trifle with Baileys
Ingredients
– 250 ml thickened cream
– 250 g mascarpone cheese
– 75 ml Baileys
– 100 g chocolate cake, crumbled
– 200 g chocolate mousse
– 100 g chocolate, grated
– 2 tbsp cocoa powder
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 100 ml milk
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
1. Start by combining the thickened cream, mascarpone cheese, and Baileys in a mixing bowl. Whip until the mixture is smooth and thick.
2. Layer some crumbled chocolate cake at the bottom of a trifle dish. Pour half of the milk over the cake to soak it.
3. Spoon half of the chocolate mousse on top of the soaked cake. Add half of the whipped cream mixture.
4. Repeat the cake, milk, mousse, and cream layers, finishing with the cream mixture on top.
5. Sprinkle grated chocolate and cocoa powder over the cream layer for decoration. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving.
