Ingredients
- 500 g pork mince
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 spring onions, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 300 g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon dry yeast
- 150 ml warm water
Method
1. In a bowl, mix pork mince, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, sesame oil, spring onions, and ginger until combined.
2. In another bowl, combine flour and dry yeast. Slowly add warm water and stir until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth. Cover with a cloth and let it sit for 1 hour to rise.
4. After the dough has risen, divide it into small balls and flatten each one. Add a spoonful of filling to the center, then pinch the edges together.
5. Place the buns in a steamer over boiling water and steam for about 15 minutes until cooked through.
