Ingredients

1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup (250 ml) corn syrup
1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar
1/3 cup (80 ml) melted butter
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups (375 ml) pecan halves
¼ teaspoon salt

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. If using a frozen pie crust, let it thaw before beginning.
2. In a large bowl, combine corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add the eggs one at a time and stir until fully combined. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
4. Fold the pecan halves into the mixture and pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
5. Bake for 60 minutes or until the filling is set. Let it cool before serving.
