Ingredients
– 1 kg chicken pieces
– 1 cup chopped carrots
– 1 cup chopped celery
– 1 cup chopped onion
– 4 cups chicken broth
– 1 tsp dried thyme
– ½ tsp black pepper
– 1 cup plain flour
– 1 ½ tsp baking powder
– ½ cup milk
Method
1. Begin by heating a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add chicken pieces and brown them for about 5 minutes.
3. Put in the chopped carrots, celery, and onion. Cook until they soften, around 5 minutes.
4. Pour in the chicken broth, thyme, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle boil.
5. Combine flour, baking powder, and milk to make a dough. Drop spoonfuls of the dough on top of the boiling broth. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
