Ingredients
400 g pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (400 g) diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
100 g grated cheese
Fresh basil for garnish
Method
1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the diced tomatoes and add oregano, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce. Mix well, then serve with grated cheese and fresh basil on top.
