Ingredients
- 400 g mostaccioli pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 400 g ricotta cheese
- 1 cup grated cheese
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cook the mostaccioli according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain.
- In a large pan, heat olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Mix in crushed tomatoes, Italian herbs, and salt. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Combine the pasta and sauce in a baking dish. Top with ricotta and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
