Ingredients

  • 400 g mostaccioli pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 400 g ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheese

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook the mostaccioli according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  3. In a large pan, heat olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Mix in crushed tomatoes, Italian herbs, and salt. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  5. Combine the pasta and sauce in a baking dish. Top with ricotta and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
