Ingredients

– 1 cup jasmine rice
– 1 cup coconut milk

– 2 ripe bananas

Method

1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for about 6 hours or overnight.
2. Drain the rice. Place it in a steamer basket lined with cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel. Steam the rice over simmering water for around 30 minutes or until tender.
3. While the rice cooks, combine coconut milk, sugar, salt, and water in a saucepan. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves.
4. Once the rice is ready, transfer it to a bowl and pour the warm coconut milk mixture over it. Stir gently to coat.
