Ingredients
– 500 g lady fish (or another white fish)
– 1 cup coconut milk
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
– 2 tablespoons tamarind pulp
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 tablespoon red chili powder
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 2 cups water
– Salt to taste
Method
1. Begin by heating oil in a large pan over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions to the oil and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. Mix in chopped tomatoes along with turmeric powder and red chili powder. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
4. Pour in the coconut milk and tamarind pulp. Stir well and season with salt.
5. Gently add the fish and water. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the fish cooks through.
