Andhra Style Royyala Kura: Flavorful Prawn Curry Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Next, add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions become soft.
  3. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are mushy.
  4. Add red chili powder, turmeric, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  5. Finally, add the cleaned prawns. Cook until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
