Ingredients
– 1 cup of plain flour
– 1/2 cup of sugar
– 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
– 1 teaspoon of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 cup of milk
– 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup of boiling water
– 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix the plain flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt together.
3. Pour in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
4. Carefully add the boiling water to the batter. Mix well, then fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
