Mushroom Puff Pastry Appetizers
Ingredients
250 g puff pastry
300 g mushrooms, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup cream cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1 tsp dried thyme
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Start by preheating your oven to 200°C.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
3. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until they become soft.
4. Stir in the mushrooms, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook until the moisture from the mushrooms evaporates.
5. Roll out the puff pastry, cut it into squares, fill with the mushroom mix and cream cheese, then brush with egg wash. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
