Sorghum Cornbread Recipe
Ingredients
– 1 cup sorghum flour
– 1 cup cornmeal
– 1 tablespoon baking powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup milk
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 2 large eggs
– 1/4 cup honey
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine sorghum flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Stir these ingredients well.
3. In a separate bowl, mix milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and honey. Whisk everything until it is combined.
4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
