Yellow Cake Recipe
Ingredients
225 g unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
3 large eggs
2 ½ cups plain flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease and flour two round cake pans.
Cream the butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Beat until fluffy and light in color.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add to the mix.
Pour in the milk and vanilla. Mix just until everything is combined.
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
