Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.
2. Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until it becomes light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well until everything is well combined.
4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
