– 1 teaspoon ground cumin
– Salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add the diced onion and cook for about 5 minutes, until softened.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and diced red bell pepper. Cook for another 3 minutes.
4. Pour in the diced tomatoes, and stir in the kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, and season with salt and pepper.
5. Simmer the chili for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
