Ingredients
– 500 g ground beef
– 2 cups water
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon pepper
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup diced tomatoes
– 1 cup cooked rice
– 1 cup shredded cheese
Method
1. Place the ground beef in a bowl and cover it with cold water. Let this sit for about 30 minutes to thaw.
2. Drain the water, then season the meat with salt and pepper.
3. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes soft.
4. Stir in the minced garlic and continue cooking for 1 minute. Add the thawed beef and cook until browned.
5. Mix in the diced tomatoes and cooked rice, then cook for another 5 minutes. Top with shredded cheese and let it melt.
