Ingredients
500 grams beef sirloin, thinly sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
60 ml soy sauce
30 ml oyster sauce
30 ml cornstarch
60 ml water
2 cloves garlic, minced
5 ml ginger, minced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Cooked rice, for serving
Method
1. Start by mixing the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water in a bowl. Set this sauce aside for later.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about 30 seconds.
3. Add the sliced beef to the pan and cook until browned, which should take about 3-4 minutes.
4. Toss in the broccoli florets and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
5. Pour the sauce over everything in the pan and stir well until it’s thickened, around 1-2 minutes. Serve with cooked rice.
