Ingredients
250 g almond flour
200 g sugar
2 large egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
Icing sugar (for dusting)
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix the almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the egg whites, vanilla extract, and almond extract, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
4. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
5. Dust the cookies with icing sugar and press a slivered almond on top. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly golden.
