Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon instant yeast
- 1 cup warm water (about 40°C)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup roasted garlic, mashed
- 1/2 cup pitted olives, chopped
- Extra olive oil for greasing
Method
1. Combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
2. Pour in the warm water and olive oil. Stir until a sticky dough forms.
3. Add the roasted garlic and chopped olives to the dough. Fold them in gently until incorporated.
4. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it sit for about 1 to 2 hours. This allows the dough to rise and double in size.
5. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Grease a skillet with olive oil. Pour the risen dough into the skillet and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
