Method
1. Begin by cooking the spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water as per package directions.
2. In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until it becomes fragrant.
3. Add diced tomatoes, oregano, sugar, and salt to the garlic. Stir the mixture and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Once the spaghetti is ready, drain it and add to the tomato sauce. Mix well to combine the flavors.
5. Finish by adding chopped basil, grated parmesan, and black pepper. Serve warm.
