Ingredients

– 1 cup warm water
– 1 packet dry yeast
– 1/4 cup white sugar
– 1/4 cup melted butter
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 3 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
– 1/4 cup baking soda
– 1 egg, beaten

Method

1. Start by mixing warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Wait for about 5 minutes until it bubbles.
2. Add melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until it forms a dough.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.
4. While it’s rising, mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread the sugar mixture on top, then roll it up. Cut into pieces and place on a baking tray. Brush with the beaten egg. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
