Ingredients
– 1 pie crust
– 1 cup (250 ml) corn syrup
– 1 cup (250 ml) brown sugar
– 1/4 cup (60 ml) melted butter
– 3 eggs
– 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
– 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) pecan nuts, chopped
– 1 tablespoon bourbon
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Fit the pie crust into a pie pan and set it aside.
3. In a bowl, mix together corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Stir in the chopped pecans and bourbon, then pour the mixture into the crust.
5. Bake for about 50 minutes or until the filling is set.
