Ingredients
– 1 cup semolina
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup water
– 1 cup milk
– 4 tablespoons ghee
– 1/4 cup chopped nuts (like almonds and cashews)
– 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
– A pinch of saffron (optional)
– 1/4 cup raisins
– A small amount of salt
Method
1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add semolina and roast until it turns light golden brown.
2. In a separate pot, combine water, milk, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil.
3. Slowly pour the boiling liquid into the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
4. Cook the mixture for about 5 minutes until it thickens. Add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, raisins, and saffron if using.
5. Mix well for another minute and serve warm.
