Sake Mushrooms Recipe
Ingredients
250 g fresh mushrooms (like button or shiitake)
120 ml sake
60 ml soy sauce
30 ml mirin
1 tablespoon sugar
2 green onions
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Method
Start by cleaning the mushrooms. Remove any dirt with a damp cloth and slice them into halves or quarters.
Pour sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar into a bowl. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes until they start to soften.
Pour the sake mixture into the skillet. Stir everything together and let it cook for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Chop green onions and sprinkle them on top. Drizzle sesame oil, and season with salt and pepper before serving.
