Ingredients
– 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
– 125 ml honey
– 60 ml soy sauce
– 60 ml apple cider vinegar
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon ground ginger
– 1 teaspoon sesame oil
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon cornflour (cornstarch)
Method
1. Start by combining honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
2. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken.
3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for about 6 hours or high for around 3 hours.
4. After cooking, mix the cornflour with a little water to create a slurry. Stir this into the sauce to thicken it.
5. Serve the chicken with rice or vegetables, drizzling the sauce over the top.
