Mississippi Mud Pie Recipe
Ingredients
200 g chocolate biscuits
100 g butter
1 cup icing sugar
250 g cream cheese
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup whipped cream
200 g dark chocolate, chopped
2 cups hot water
1 tsp instant coffee
Method
Crush the chocolate biscuits in a bowl until they become fine crumbs. Melt the butter in a saucepan and then mix it with the crushed biscuits. Press this mixture into the bottom of a pie dish and chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Beat the cream cheese and icing sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and whipped cream until well combined.
Melt dark chocolate with hot water and instant coffee in a saucepan over low heat until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Pour this chocolate mixture over the chilled crust. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
Serve by slicing the pie and enjoy this delicious treat with your family.
