Ingredients
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the brown sugar, honey, and salt until smooth.
3. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly. Then, whisk in the eggs and vanilla until combined.
4. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
5. Fold the chopped pecans into the batter. Pour it into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
