Easy Panettone Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 10 g salt
  • 15 g dry yeast
  • 200 ml warm milk
  • 100 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100 g mixed dried fruit or chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50 ml warm water

Method

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt together in a large bowl. Add the dry yeast to the warm milk and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour bowl. Combine it with melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Knead the dough until it is smooth.
  3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  4. After rising, fold in the mixed dried fruit or chocolate chips. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a baking pan.
  5. Let it rise again for about 30 minutes, then bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
