Ingredients
– 4 eggs
– 1 cup sugar
– 2 cups milk
– 1 cup cream
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
– 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/4 cup rum or bourbon (optional)
– Whipped cream for serving (optional)
– Extra nutmeg for garnish
Method
1. In a large bowl, beat the eggs until they are light and fluffy.
2. Gradually add the sugar and mix until combined.
3. Pour in the milk and cream, then add the vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Stir everything well.
4. If you want an alcoholic version, mix in the rum or bourbon.
5. Chill the mixture in the fridge for at least two hours before serving. Add whipped cream and sprinkle with more nutmeg if desired.
