Ingredients
1 cup dried chickpeas
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon split urad dal
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons grated coconut
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
Method
1. Soak the dried chickpeas overnight, then drain and rinse them.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop.
3. Stir in urad dal and sauté for a minute until golden. Then add turmeric powder, chili powder, and salt.
4. Add the soaked chickpeas to the pan. Mix well and cook for about 10 minutes until heated through.
5. Finish by adding grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves. Stir everything together before serving.
