Ingredients
– 1 kg pork shoulder, cut into chunks
– 100 ml soy sauce
– 100 ml sake
– 50 ml mirin
– 100 g sugar
– 2 spring onions, chopped
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 piece of ginger, about 5 cm, sliced
– 500 ml water
Method
1. Place the pork shoulder pieces in the Instant Pot and add the water.
2. Stir in the soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, garlic, ginger, and spring onions.
3. Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 60 minutes.
4. Once cooking is done, let the pressure release naturally for about 15 minutes.
5. Open the lid carefully, then serve the pork with some of the sauce.
