Fluffy Crispy Cheese Herbed Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup butter, cold and cubed
1 cup shredded cheese
ÂĽ cup fresh herbs, chopped (such as parsley or chives)
1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
Method
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.
Add the cold butter cubes. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the shredded cheese and chopped herbs. Slowly pour in the milk and mix until just combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
