Slow Cooker Cuban Pork With Black Beans And Rice Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 kg pork shoulder
– 1 onion, chopped
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon cumin
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 240 ml orange juice
– 60 ml lime juice
– 1 can (400 g) black beans, drained
– 3 cups cooked rice
– Fresh cilantro for garnish

Method

1. Start by placing the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
2. Next, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, and oregano.
3. Pour in the orange juice and lime juice over the meat.
4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
5. When ready, shred the pork and mix it with the black beans. Serve with cooked rice and garnish with cilantro.
