Berry Pie Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 premade pie crust
1 tablespoon butter (cut into small pieces)
1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
1 tablespoon sugar (for topping)

Method
1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
2. In a bowl, combine the berries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla. Stir until well mixed.
3. Pour the berry mixture into the pie crust. Dot the top with pieces of butter.
4. Brush the edges of the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle sugar on top for added sweetness.
5. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbling.
