Ingredients
125 g unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy in a large bowl.
Mix in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients.
Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking tray, ensuring they are spaced apart.
