French Toast Two Ways
Ingredients
4 slices of bread
2 large eggs
1 cup of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
Butter for frying
Maple syrup for serving
Fresh fruit for topping
Powdered sugar for garnish (optional)
Method
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter to coat the surface.
3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are soaked well.
4. Place the soaked bread slices onto the hot skillet and cook until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Serve the French toast warm, topped with maple syrup, fresh fruit, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar if desired.
