Ingredients
– 1 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
– 1/4 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup rolled oats
– 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
– 2 cups diced apples
– 1/4 cup brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1 egg
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
3. Add the cold butter and oats. Use your hands to combine until the mixture resembles crumbs.
4. Press half of this mixture into the bottom of a tart pan. Top with diced apples.
5. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Sprinkle this over the apples. Lastly, spread the remaining crumb mixture on top and bake for 35 minutes.
