Ingredients
- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Transfer the apple mixture into a baking dish evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, melted butter, and vanilla until crumbly. Spread this mixture over the apples.
- Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
