Ingredients
1 kg potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
120 ml milk
60 g butter
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp sour cream
Chives, chopped (optional)
Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Olive oil, for drizzling (optional)
Method
1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the potato chunks and cook for about 15-20 minutes until they are tender.
2. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
3. Mash the potatoes using a masher or fork until smooth.
4. Stir in the milk, butter, salt, pepper, and garlic. Mix until creamy.
5. Serve warm with a sprinkle of chives, Parmesan cheese, or a drizzle of olive oil if desired.
