Spaghetti all’Assassina Recipe

Ingredients
400g dried spaghetti
60ml olive oil
8 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
400g canned diced tomatoes
500ml vegetable broth
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
½ cup fresh basil leaves
Grated cheese for serving

Method
Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking until the garlic is golden.
Mix in the diced tomatoes, then cook for 5 minutes until it thickens.
Pour in the vegetable broth and stir in the salt and pepper. Add the spaghetti, ensuring it is submerged.
Simmer for about 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is cooked and the sauce is thickened. Stir in the fresh basil and serve with grated cheese.
