Quiche Lorraine Recipe
Ingredients
1 sheet of shortcrust pastry
6 eggs
250 ml cream
200 g bacon lardons
150 g grated cheese
1 onion, finely diced
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Method
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
Roll out the shortcrust pastry and place it into a pie dish, pressing down on the sides.
Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the bacon lardons and onion until the bacon is crispy.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper. Stir in the cooked bacon and onion, then add the grated cheese.
Pour the mixture into the pastry, and bake for 30-35 minutes until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
