Ingredients
4 apples
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 packet of puff pastry (thawed)
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
Preheat the oven to 190°C.
Peel and core the apples, then place them in a baking dish.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle this over the apples and add vanilla extract inside each apple.
Wrap each apple with puff pastry. Melt butter and pour it over the apples. Add water to the dish and sprinkle brown sugar on top.
Bake for about 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown and soft.
