Ingredients
- 1 cup grated cheese
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Cooking spray or parchment paper for baking
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray.
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the grated cheese, softened butter, flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until the mixture resembles crumbs.
3. Add the water to the mixture and stir until a dough forms. If using, fold in sesame seeds and cayenne pepper.
4. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thick. Cut it into small squares or shapes.
5. Place the squares onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until they are golden and crispy. Cool before serving.
