Murgh Masala Recipe (Chicken Legs in a Spicy Sauce)
Ingredients
500 g chicken legs
2 tbsp oil
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
400 g chopped tomatoes (canned or fresh)
1 cup water
1/2 tsp garam masala
Method
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Stir in ginger-garlic paste, red chili, coriander, and turmeric powders. Cook for a couple of minutes until fragrant. Add chopped tomatoes and water, bringing the mixture to a boil. When it simmers, add the chicken legs and cover the pan. Let it cook for about 30 minutes or until the chicken is tender. Lastly, sprinkle garam masala over the dish and mix well before serving.
