Ingredients
175 g plain flour
50 g cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
115 g unsalted butter, softened
200 g brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
125 g cream cheese
160 g icing sugar
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, then combine with the dry ingredients.
Spoon the dough onto the baking tray, bake for 10-12 minutes, and allow to cool.
