Ingredients
– 500 g bread flour
– 350 ml warm water
– 10 g salt
– 5 g instant yeast
– 15 ml olive oil
– 50 ml additional warm water
Method
1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, instant yeast, and salt together.
2. Pour in 350 ml of warm water and olive oil. Use a spoon to combine everything until it forms a rough dough.
3. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour.
4. After resting, turn the dough onto a floured surface and stretch and fold it a few times. Shape it into a long baguette.
5. Place the shaped dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover again and allow to rise for 30 minutes before baking in a preheated oven at 220°C for 20-25 minutes.
