Ingredients
– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon of baking soda
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1 cup of unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup of brown sugar
– 1/2 cup of white sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
– 2 cups of chocolate chips
– 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until creamy.
4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix well. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until everything is combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if using. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
