Ingredients
– 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
– 2 tablespoons grated coconut
– 1 tablespoon roasted chana dal
– 2-3 green chilies
– 1 teaspoon ginger, chopped
– 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 tablespoon oil
– ½ cup water
Method
1. Start by washing the coriander leaves thoroughly.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add green chilies, ginger, and chana dal. Sauté them until golden.
3. Combine the sautéed mixture with coriander leaves, coconut, tamarind paste, and salt in a blender.
4. Add water to the blender and blend until a smooth paste forms.
5. Transfer the thogayal to a serving bowl and enjoy it with rice or bread.
